Lanson Moore
Lanson is a Yorkshire based abstract artist and mum to six year old, Theodore, working from her studio set in the countryside of Wakefield.
She is the founder of Ashes into Art
Separate to this service, Lanson’s own portfolio of art is influenced by her experiences of the world and travel, she creates beautiful pieces of work inspired by the colours, shapes and patterns found in nature.
Her approach to creating art is mostly intuitive and she uses a variety of tools and materials to produce a variety of strokes and textures, building up layers and giving the observer a sense of depth and opportunity to ‘feel’ connected to a particular place, emotion or experience.
Lanson’s use of colour is just as varied as the colour palette of which nature gives to us; her pieces can and can be bright and bold, full of energy and joyful feelings or more muted, soft and intriguing..
Catherine Worseley
Catherine Worsley is an illustrator based in West Yorkshire whose work is rooted in the quiet beauty of everyday life. Through gentle, emotive imagery, she captures small moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, creating illustrations that feel both intimate and deeply atmospheric. Her practice is heavily influenced by the natural world, particularly the subtle shifts in light, colour, and season that can completely transform the mood of a landscape or scene.
Nature plays a central role in Catherine’s creative process, and much of her inspiration comes from spending time outdoors. Whether tending to her allotment or walking through the countryside, these daily rituals often feed directly back into her work, shaping both her subject matter and her approach to colour and composition. She is especially drawn to the changing qualities of light throughout the day and the emotional resonance that certain colour palettes can evoke.
Catherine has been drawing for as long as she can remember, having picked up a crayon almost as soon as she could hold one. What began as a childhood instinct has since developed into a lifelong passion and professional practice. Today, she feels incredibly fortunate to make a living through illustration, creating thoughtful and expressive work that reflects her love of storytelling, observation, and the natural environment.
Rebecca Prinn
Rebecca is an illustrator, surface pattern designer and calligrapher, passionate about creating imperfect illustrations, vibrant florals and lettering with personality. Rebecca enjoys the process of experimenting, exploring ideas and seeing where curiosity leads, resulting in expressive and playful artwork.
Rebecca lives with her husband, two children and their cat in a village in West Yorkshire. She came to Leeds for univeristy and never left. After studying textiles, she started my creative journey in the greeting card industry designing cards, wrap, bags, diaries and calendars. After working in many different roles, Rebecca decided to take that knowledge and start out on her own as a freelancer.
Rebecca also collaborate with gorgeous venues to host workshops that encourage people to embrace imperfection and enjoy creating without pressure. She loves bringing people together through creativity, mess, play and experimentation.
Rebecca also love books, and likes nothing better than trawling around second hand book shops looking for vintage floral illustrations, ancient mark making techniques, or beautiful lettering to inspire her works.
Rachel McNaughton
Rachel has always enjoyed art although has no formal art training other than adult education classes. An enjoyable hobby became a career and now she has work published by National Trust, WHSmith and M&S among others. She works mostly in watercolour and paints many subjects including landscape, flowers and animals. Landscape paintings tend to be more detailed than the flower and animal subjects which often are quite loose and splashy.
Rachel is happy to take on pet portrait commissions.
